Behind everything you do is a thought, and each individual thought contributes to your overall character. How well your mind works dictates how much joy you experience, how successful you feel, and how well you interact with other people. No area of your life is untouched by your thoughts! In this edition of the TIME with Fred Podcast, I discuss this topic with my special guest, Tommy Newberry. Tommy is the author of the New York Times Best-selling book, The 4:8 Principle. Using powerful concepts from Philippians 4:8, Tommy shares that the one thing in life over which we have complete control is our thinking.

Vanilla Busters are men and women who refuse to settle for an ordinary, mundane, risk-free life. They have made the resolute decision to abandon the security and safety of the bleachers, and to enter into the dangers and glories of the playing field. It's about giving up small dreams and bite-sized ambitions so that we can take hold of dreams and ambitions big enough to make our stay on planet earth worthwhile. It's refusing to allow someone else to do our risk-taking, and daring to live life at full throttle. It's about saying "no" to vanilla, and shouting "yes" to life.

In this edition of the TIME with Fred Podcast, Dwight Edwards dicusses why we need to say NO to Vanilla.
